Helen joined us as our Musical Director in January 2011.
She was born into a musical family and went on to study violin, piano and organ at the Royal College of Music Junior Department. Her singing really took off when she was awarded a choral scholarship to Christ's College Cambridge where she studied veterinary medicine.
As a singer Helen has performed and broadcast both at home an abroad. She has a wide-ranging taste in music from sacred, through to opera and musicals.
Having started directing choirs whilst still at school, as part of her assistant organist roles at various churches in London, Helen went on to conduct orchestras, choirs and small chamber groups.
Helen worked as both a vet and musician for 9 years, but has now followed her heart and is earning a living making music, alongside looking after her two young daughters.
